Rare Minie Rifle Civil War Sword Bayonet Prussian MadeBe sure to see all my other items i am selling off from ym collection over the next while! I have many bayonets and swords i will be selling on ebay this week from the civil war, ww1, ww2 and onwards from around the world.
Heer is one i have had since i purchased it in massachusetts in the 1970's on a summer vacation. I purchased it in a antique store and was told it was from the civil war. It has sat in my collection for decades now and until last night i had never looked it up. It si a prussian made sword bayonet for the belgian made minie rifles (minie ball) and were sold for the american civil war use. It is almost 2 1/2 feet long (28 1/2 inches). It has 2 fullers on it and 2 markings on the blade, one looks like the prussian eagle and the other looks lkie ek, but it is hard to make out. When i purchased it i was told it had come out of the attic of a old house from the area. It is complete, and shows it age of almost 140+ years, unsure if it was ever issued with a sheath because the only picture example i have does not show one.
I have never seen another so i don't think many must have been shipped over nad survived? Don't miss out as it has been in my collection for some time. Ignor the posted shipping rate on this auction, the ebay wizards force me to state the charges first which is impossible as i don't know what it will sell for and where it is going? Contact me for a shipping rate and i will give you a ballpark idea as it mya cost more or less than what is stated.
I am not here to make money on the shipping, i will try and get you the best rate to where you live. It may or may not require extra insurence depending on the method fo payment. Payment must be rceeived within 7 days after the close of auction (international 10 days) and by international money order will mean swift turn around and delivery. Sales to residence fo canada will be converted at our end into canadian dollars for payment using the bank of canada daily rates.
Online payment methods are accepted for my auctions, all payments accepted this way will be converted to canadian dollars by us first and a payment notice snet out, so don't send payment before i have sent a notice. If you are paying online our notice must be paid within 48 hours after the close of auction or we may sell to the next hgihest bidder. We have a four percent administration fee that is added to any on-line payment method on the final total. fI you wish not to pay this then a money order can be sent instead. All items that are paid using a online payment method that is over twenty dollars in total value will have to be sent by traceable mail. I am not responsible in the case fo damaged or lost items due to postal mishandling.All sales are final. All postal rates are set by the sleler at close and are based on canada post rates. If you wish to have insurance or any other special requests for delivery, i will be happy to accommodate you, any extra cost will have to be covered by the buyer. Bidding and winning means you fully accept the above terms and will follow through with payment.
