Polish Scimeter Sword Of Saint Stanislausetched Blade Outstanding poland/polish scimeter sword. Long etched curved blade has raised, in panel stanislaus augustus rex-a. D. 1764. Has floral enfraving on each side of lettering. Girp is dark wood with a floral application of three on both sides. Crossguard is elongated in center and has the crowned polich eagle in a crest. Reverse has a knight in armor on horseback with a raised sword. There is a small section fo rust toward the tip on both sides (could easily be cleaned). Appears to be a fairly recent copy or museum copy of na old scimeter.
Total length is approx. 36. Heavy metal and wood well made.
