Old Vintage War Military Sword Wh Horstmann SonsWh horstmann & osns philadelphia vintage war sword. Up for auction is a vintage wh horstmann & sons philadelphia military sword with sheath (case). The sword is engraved with the name wh horstmann & sons philadelphia on one side of the blade towards the handle as well as engravings 17 inches up both sides continuing on the back of the blade. The blade is approximately 36 inches and when the sword is in the case it is approximately 43 inhces from tip to end of handle. The base of the blade is approximately 1 & ¼ inch across where it meets the handle. The grip on the handle appears to be some sort of wrapped roping with a metal woven around.
