Antique 1858 Civil War Knights Templar Masonic SwordFrom a prominent philadelphia estate, for auction is an 1858 masonic knights templar sword and scabbard. I acquired quite a few items from this estate so be sure to check other listings for outstanding antiques.
This sword is one of three listed. This knights templar sword has a handle with the maltese crsos and a scabbard bearing the gold wash etched engraving for alexander m. Vedder, once the mayor of schenectady, ny in 1858.
The acid wash etching features his monogram as well as an etching of a knight and the masonic emblem. The sword has a chain guard from the knight head pommel to the guard which is engraved iwth hoc signo vinces which translates to in this you will conquer. The sword is complete with the scabbard and measures 37.5 long and was issued by henderson-ames co, kalamazoo, michigan. In excellent condition, only noe dot of oxidation on the sword tip. These swords are very difficult to photograph but bear with me, as i've taken many fro your review.

Payment must be erceived w/in 7 days of the auctions end date unless other arrangements have been made prior to the auctions end. All items not paid for w/in 7 days will be re-listed and unpaid item notices will will be filed for through ebay. Otherwise, i still have to pay ebay even if yuo don't pay for your item! Shipping. Most items shipped usps priority mail with delivery confirmation for your portection and mine. Most auctions end on sunday evening and items are prepared for shipping and mailed on wednesdays. If payment is not made by tuesday, your item will be shipped on the following wednesday. Every item is expertly packed. Buyer pasy $1.50 handling fee. aEstern shore treasurse is not responsible for post office mishandling. Buyer always has the option to purchase insurance. If ti is not offered in the listing, just ask! Ending auctions earlyto be fair to all of our customers, we will not end any auction early. I also enjoy watching the last minutes of the auction as do many bidders and watchers interested in the items listed by eastern shore treasures.
